Leia Zhu 4yr old Violinist @ North East Last Night of the Proms

What a cutey pie Leia is! Saturday night was the North East Last Night of the Proms at the City Hall Newcastle and I was there capturing some really fantastic sights. I was commissioned by the family and music tutor of 4 year old violinist, Leia Zhu to capture her performance. She was fabulous and so confident and got a standing ovation, it brought a tear to my eyes!

The rest of the evening was visually spectacular with hundreds of flags, balloons and a vibrant audience. I was so pleased to add these shots to my north east events portfolio. The charity event raised money for NEPAC http://www.nepac.org.uk/ and the performance is on you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHj8DRqNaFo

I have just had the pleasure of capturing portraits of two sets of gorgeous twin girls as a surprise for their Dad. I caught this by accident but quite liked the quirky way it caught the studio surround….

Dan came to me for PR shots with a difference after winning a contract to race for the one and only Ferrari. We wanted the images to reflect Ferrari’s cool & slick attitude and grab attention in various editorial features. I think I nailed it!

This is little Wren eating at Pizza East in Shoreditch this week… apparently she loves it so much her folks should have shares in it!

Bliss! @ Panini UK magazine editorial real life photography North East

Bliss! mag out this month features a ‘Short ‘n Sweet’ article about Chelsea a 15 year old girl from Durham with dwarfism. I was commissioned by Bliss! picture editor Lauren Azor to meet Chelsea and shoot this reportage photography in the North East in June. She was lovely and has clearly struggled all her life with health problems but is a champion of sports in her field. Lets hope she likes the article!
