This course is for iPhone users and teaches you how to achieve great results with your iPhone that look like professionally shot images.
There are limitations with iPhones but there are also settings that allow you to capture strong well executed images and video with edit facilities within.
If you have an android phone, whilst the settings may not be familiar, I can teach you about the basics of composition and learn the way to make the best of light and exposures, so get in touch to discuss a tailored lesson plan.

My Camera Photography Courses give you the confidence to shoot on manual settings and leave ‘auto’ as a distance memory!
I can advise on the basics of ISO, F-stops /Aperture and Shutter Speeds and how to balance the three in an area of photography you’d like to learn.
If you have a camera to bring to the session I can help you master the settings, alternatively if you are thinking of buying a camera I can offer mine to trial and offer advice on the best way to purchase the right camera for you.

For my Studio Photography Courses you will already have a good knowledge of your camera and want to broaden your knowledge using a studio with lighting kit.
You will have the option of using my camera or yours together with my studio lighting flash heads in my studio space with an infinity backdrop, coloured gels or colour rolls.
You can have guidance on a number of themes including diffusing light, how to shoot tethered to a computer and some basic kit advice.

With over 25 years as a Professional Photographer in Newcastle working in design agencies, portrait studios and running my own photography business, I’m highly skilled at capturing you or your company in a relaxed documentary style. I love creating bespoke photography to your brief listening carefully and delivering great results with professionalism and of course a smile!
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop specific skills, I’ll create a lesson plan around your goals. After you book, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours to discuss your camera make and model, your experience, and what you’d like to achieve. I’ll also send everything you need to prepare for your session, including what to expect, where to find me, and how to get the most from your tutorial.
All of my photography courses are one-to-one and last three hours, giving us plenty of time to combine practical photography with personalised tuition. Every session is tailored to your current level of experience, your camera, and the areas you want to improve. Unlike group classes, a one-to-one course means every minute is focused entirely on you. You can ask questions as they arise, explore techniques in more depth, and learn at a pace that suits you. This focused, approach ensures that three hours is more than enough time to build your confidence, develop new skills, and leave with practical knowledge you can put into practice.
