With over 25 years as a Professional Photographer in Newcastle working in design agencies, portrait studios and running my own photography business, I’m highly skilled at capturing you or your company in a relaxed documentary style. Sarah Deane is a Newcastle based Portrait Photographer with over 25 years’ experience, and a proud feminist in her 50s. Sarah says “I believe women in later life should be visible, celebrated, and proud of who they’ve become”.
Her Story is a portrait session designed especially for women in mid to later life and was born from Sarah listening to women her age sharing personal stories in honest, powerful conversations about aging, motherhood, career changes, hormones and shifting identities. These portraits are about more than just faces; they depict resilience, joy, identity and all the life lived so far.
This project encourages women to reclaim time for themselves, to celebrate milestones like menopause and to embrace aging with pride. It’s a chance to reflect, laugh and be captured as your true self—with no filters, just simple studio light, genuine expression and thoughtful styling.
Her Story portraiture here in Sarah’s Newcastle studio is to capture a time of transformation, change and empowerment offering a bespoke relaxed portrait experience that feels both fun and meaningful.
