Peckham Fufu

A Caribbean and African staple at a star price. I took these photos 20 years ago in my home area of Peckham in spring 2000. The title was inspired by a wooden bench on Rye Lane, which I believe is still there, with two carved hearts as arm rests and the etched words ‘Peckham Loves Me’ on the seat. I plan to capture a new series of images on the Rye for comparison 20 years on once we recover from the pandemic.
