Karen & San Wedding Photography

This wedding was a pleasure to shoot with the bride and groom perfectly colour coordinated with the gorgeous red brick backdrop of Hotel du Vin on Newcastle’s Quayside. Whilst the grand halls of Northumberland are always spectacular locations there was something real and familiar about this local backdrop.

After the tear jerking ceremony the reception was held in the Regeneration Centre on the Tyne bank.  As the bride’s parents gave an entertaining and moving speech, the sky looked threatening and dramatic allowing me to capture some corkers with the bridges in the picture. Karen’s little Figaro was also a dream to shoot with the Spiller’s Tyne Mill in the distance and as my brief from Karen and San had been to capture the day’s most special parts incorporating local landmarks, I thought it would be rude not to get this in too!

Hope you enjoy having a ‘neb’! (and for those who aren’t geordie –

Simon & Emma, Seaham Hall

This wedding was on that crazy scorching hot day in May this year, hitting over 30 degrees at midday! The guests were so glam and the bride was stunning, but the guys suffered in their smart waistcoats and tails in the heat. The cool church was welcomed respite from the unbelievable spring heat.

Seaham Hall was a supurb location with real fairy tale quality and was a photographers dream with so many backdrops to shoot against, including beautiful gardens, grand architecture and the famous elephant in the spa!

Emma and Simon had an amazing time and I hope the romance and high emotion of the day shows through the selection of couple shots I am posting up. Here’s to more hot Mays and a possible shift to beachwear for weddings!!

Part three at last!!!

I have recently taken some time out and therefore been very quiet on the blog front due to moving house. The last box was unpacked yesterday and so the chaos dust has settled. The good news is I now have a garden, the bad news is need some good weather to try out my shiny new BBQ!

So now lets catch up on the next stages of Jo and Ben’s wedding back in May. There are three more story boards from the various stages of the day including our trip on the London bus, romantic couple shots, gorgeous kids and and some incidentals of the wedding breakfast details. Look out for the Playmobil princess and pirate!
