It was absolutely chucking it down on the morning on the 16th and I woke with a fear we would all be getting very, very soggy! Jo and Ben had hired an old London Routemaster bus to take the wedding from the church in Tynemouth via the beach for shots then on to the Saville Exchange so I hoped this could be a âplan Bâ portable studio!
The church service was spectacular, so moving with the choirâs songs and the powerful church organ and the grand interior. The kids played quietly at the back and the ladieâs colourful spring outfits created a vibrant atmosphere.
Jo had previously told me that the ceremony was the most important part of the day for them so I wanted to capture this perfectly. Although my work was cut out as the Vicar was really militant, took no prisoners and strictly ordered me to hover at the back of the church using no flash (there was to be no messing or I was âoutâ!!!), I captured some lovely moments and as luck would have it the sun was breaking out.
Check out the shots from the dayâ¦. they are pretty special (stage one below.. two and three to come soon) feel free to comment!!
The last wedding I shot a couple of weeks ago had a twist in the tale as virtually no one knew about it! This even including the photographer until a few days beforehand! B&P married in an intimate ceremony in a beautiful church setting and despite the chilly wind the sun shone all day. Yay! I was asked to keep it under wraps until everyone knew hence the ambiguous photos (so if you know who they areâ¦. âmumâs the wordâ). It was such a lovely day and the twins looked so sweet! I got some fantastic shots of the ceremony and informal celebration afterwards but will wait until all their close friends and family know before posting more!
